There is an additional AutoLogon checkbox associated with each Policy item. This field is only valid if the Scramble user action is selected. If this is checked, the Ranger will in addition to setting a new password, synchronise that password with the AutoLogon password stored in the target hosts registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon).

The Local Policy system checks that the registry AutoAdminLogon value is set to 1 and DefaultUserName matches the user name to be scrambled. If either of these cases is false, then the policy item will fail.
