Policy is made up of a number of policy items. The following is an example of a some simple Local policy consisting of many Scramble Items:
Scramble is the ForestSafe action which sets an account password to a value known only to the system.
Local Policy is applied in the background. It is applied only to ForestSafe Targets that are not in state OKAY or NEUTRAL.
There are many occasions when a target status becomes not status OKAY:
A computers first joins a domain
A workgroup computer is first discovered.
Automatically following the expiry of a Grant Access request
Automatically triggered by the Policy Scheduler
Manually requested by an End User with Apply Policy page.
A policy item consists of the following fields:
