Here’s an example of how an organisation with a small number of support teams can group their ForestSafe Applications tasks:
Example ForestSafe group |
ForestSafe Tasks |
Task Frequencies |
Typical end users |
ForestSafe Administrators |
Group memberships Administrator Roles Global Settings Local Account Policy Shared Account Policy Scheduling Host Containers Importing UNIX Housekeeping |
Mainly at installation |
Build team Security |
ForestSafe Support |
Dashboard Reporting Remote Terminal |
Infrequently. |
Support Management |
ForestSafe Helpdesk |
Password Vault Temporary account provisioning Apply Policy to a computer |
More frequently. |
Help desk Security |
These tasks may be done by the separate teams as indicated above or in small organisations they may all be carried out by a single person. Moreover any of the above tasks can be split out into their own groups.
The initial ForestSafe Administrator group is configured by the ForestSafe Installation Wizard and the installation user made the member, so they may log in to carry out further configurations. Subsequently, the other groups can be configured by the ForestSafe Administrator using the Administrator Roles page.
