To manage Oracle passwords you must first register the Oracle Global Assembly Cache (GAC) on the ForestSafe Application Server, or passwords resets will fail.
A copy of the Oracle 4.112.3.0 ODAC installation can be found in the redist folder of installation media. ForestSafe is pre-configured with this version of the Oracle assembly, but it must be registered.
To Register the Oracle GAC:
1. Unzip ODAC112030Xcopy_x64.zip
2. Run a command prompt
3. Change to the root folder of the unzipped media.
4. Run command: install.bat odp.net4 C:\oracle odac
5. Wait for install command to complete
If you wish to register a different version of the GAC, overwrite the installed Oracle.Data.Access.dll found in the bin folder in addition to registering the GAC.
